Clinical Experiences
Throughout their time in Baylor University's online Master of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders program, students will complete three clinical practica and one clinical internship, totaling eight credit hours and a minimum of 400 clinical clock hours. Each clinical experience places the student in a different setting, which may include but is not limited to hospital/rehabilitation, private practice, and/or public schools
Housed within Baylor's online graduate program is a dedicated placement team who work individually with students to navigate the clinical experience and placement process. The placement team makes every reasonable attempt to place students as close to their preferred placement addresses as possible—no more than 100 miles (or 1.5-hour one-way/3 hour round trip commute) away in cases where there are insufficient resources for sites in an area.
