Scholarships

Applications for CSD Departmental Scholarships are now closed for the 2023-2024 academic year. The application for the 2024-2025 academic year will open in Spring 2024.

The Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders offers several scholarships for undergraduate and residential graduate students. Students can apply each spring for scholarships to be awarded the next academic year. Support for the scholarships comes from these endowed funds:

  • Rhonda Sheryl Reynolds Scholarship Fund
  • Scott and Laura Morris Scholarship
  • CSD Alumni and Friends Scholarship
  • James & Beverly Eberts Scholarship
  • Hallie Mae Holman Scholarship
  • Amy Henderson Firth Scholarship
  • Speech Path/Audiology Scholarship
  • Don & Faith Martin Scholarship
  • Madison Golden Scholarship
  • Jim and Xan Foulks Scholarship
  • Kelly Beth Balke Scholarship

Scholarship Committee recommendations will be forwarded to the Student Financial Aid Office for final assignment. Award notifications will be sent by the end of the Spring semester for use the following academic year. If awarded a CSD scholarship, funds will be awarded in the Fall term.

Important Notes:

  • Students enrolled in Speech@Baylor, the Online Master's program, are NOT eligible for scholarships.

  • A FAFSA must be completed to be eligible for all scholarships.

  • At this time, eligible applicants attend Baylor University residentially.

  • Current undergraduate students who apply must have declared CSD as your major.

  • Students (undergraduate and residential graduate) who have applied for the Summer and Fall terms are eligible to apply. However, to receive a scholarship, the student must receive and have accepted her or his offer of admission.

  • Students completing their program of study at Baylor during the Summer term and not continuing or returning for the Fall term are not eligible for Communication Sciences and Disorder scholarships.

  • If awarded a CSD scholarship, funds will be awarded in the Fall term.

For more information on these scholarships see Baylor's Scholarship page.

If you have any additional questions, please reach out to the Scholarship Committee Chair, Dr. Samantha Dvorak at Samantha_Dvorak@baylor.edu.
