Tracy Crosby, EdD, CCC-SLP
Adjunct Professor
Dr. Crosby is an adjunct professor in the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders for the online graduate speech-language pathology (SLP) program. She earned her undergraduate degree in CSD and a master’s degree in SLP from the University of Cincinnati. She continued her education to earn a doctoral degree in 2018 from Nova Southeastern University, which focused on SLP, augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), and autism spectrum disorders (ASD). Dr. Crosby has taught the Augmentative Communication and Severe Populations course at Baylor for the online graduate program since the Spring trimester of 2020. Dr. Crosby has extensive experience teaching online graduate and undergraduate-level courses in academia.
Dr. Crosby is an ASHA-certified SLP who has experience treating a wide variety of clients of all ages in private practice, skilled nursing facilities, and in school settings. Her research has focused on parent- implemented interventions through online instruction for parents of children with autism. Primary areas of research involve teaching caregivers practical strategies to increase receptive and expressive language using AAC in daily routines. Other areas of research include developing evidence-based courses for ASD in higher education and interprofessional collaboration. Dr. Crosby has presented her research and clinical strategies at local, state, and national conferences.
