On-campus SLP graduate students complete their clinical practicum experiences in the renowned Baylor Speech-Language and Hearing Clinic with additional placements in local facilities during the first three semester of the program and a full-time internship off-campus in the final semester of the program.
Types of Clinical Placements
Throughout their time in the program, on-campus SLP graduate students complete three clinical practica and one clinical internship, totaling a minimum of 400 clinical clock hours and nine credit hours.

Additional placements in local facilities in the community are available on a part-time basis while on campus.
Internship

The internship is the final clinical placement for on-campus Baylor SLP graduate students and occurs in their fourth semester of the program. Baylor’s Clinical Director works closely with students to secure placements on their behalf, taking into consideration preferred placements, program requirements and policies, and available opportunities.
