Daniel Kim, PhD
Assistant Professor
Daniel Kim is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders at Baylor University. He earned his PhD in Hearing and Speech Sciences from Vanderbilt University. He received his EdM from the Mind, Brain, and Education program at Harvard University and BS in Psychology at Boston College.
Dr. Kim's general research interests are in the area of motor speech disorders as he investigates the effects of neurodegenerative diseases (e.g., Parkinson's disease, Huntington's disease, Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis, and Multiple Sclerosis) on speech production. Specifically, he employs both kinematic and perceptual experimental methods to better understand the articulatory bases of deviant speech patterns in dysarthria.
