Lisa Monsisvais

Lisa Monsisvais serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders. She earned her Master of Science in Communication Disorders from the University of Texas at Dallas in 2006. Licensed by the State of Texas, she also holds the ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology. Her training includes LSVT LOUD®, Vital Stim® and the McNeill Dysphagia Therapy Program. Professor Monsisvais is also a certified SPEAK OUT!® provider and a 2025 recipient of the SPEAK OUT! Clinical Education Grant. 

Professor Monsisvais has experience working in diverse clinical settings, including acute care hospitals, inpatient rehabilitation, outpatient clinics (both adult and pediatric), skilled nursing facilities, and home health care. She joined Baylor as a full-time faculty member in the Fall of 2024, taking on the role of clinical educator at Baylor’s Speech-Language and Hearing Clinic.
