Nadine Welch serves as the Associate Chair of Residential Academic Programs, Undergraduate Program Director, and Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders. Professor Welch received both her Master of Science and Bachelor of Science Degrees from Baylor University and is a Certified and Licensed Speech Language Pathologist. Professor Welch specializes in the areas of Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) and Language and Literacy. She has more than 30 years of experience in the field and has extensive training with a variety of augmentative communication vocabulary systems. Professor Welch is a frequent presenter at the local, state, and national levels. Her duties include serving the department as an associate chair, mentoring CSD undergraduate students, as the Undergraduate Program Director, teaching undergraduate and graduate classes, both residentially and online, as well as planning and conducting research in the area of AAC.
