Dr. Nicole Niessen serves as Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders. Dr. Niessen earned her MA in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Kansas and her PhD in Communicative Disorders and Sciences from Wichita State University. Dr. Niessen is a licensed and certified Speech-Language Pathologist.
Dr. Niessen’s experience includes providing speech-language and literacy assessment and intervention services to children in preschools, schools, and private practice. She has served as a clinical educator, teaching and supervising CSD students, ECU, Elementary, middle & secondary education majors, and literacy specialists within the College of Education.
