Tamara Carter, EdD, CCC-SLP
Adjunct Professor
Tamara Carter is an adjunct professor in the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders Online Program at Baylor University. She received her Master of Speech-Language Pathology from Teachers College at Columbia University in New York in 1993 and an Educational Doctorate Degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Phoenix in 2008. She is a certified member of the American Speech- Language-Hearing Association and a member of the National Association of Multicultural Education.
Professor Carter is the Speech and Related Services Program Coordinator in a Metro Atlanta School District. She has a private speech therapy company and has worked in several settings, including hospitals, nursing homes, and private schools. Professor Carter is the Metro Atlanta District representative working with the state to discuss the speech and language profession, suggesting action plans to improve service delivery for speech- language pathologists working in school districts.
